19 of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been won on hard courts
A comeback the Russian player won his initial title for over two years with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has experienced a difficult year, winning just a single victory at the major tournaments and suffering a meltdown at the US Open.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his service game in specific - caused him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually separating with long-time coach his previous coach.
Currently training with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has gradually improved in the last few weeks - climaxing in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's maiden championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court after spring of the previous year.
The win also indicates he has achieved twenty-one titles at 21 various tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a tournament with my two daughters together, so to win a championship is particularly special," said tennis professional Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six championship matches, featuring in that event in the past months.
Medvedev's retrieving approach and regular emotional displays on the tennis court had caused some to wonder if his skill to compete at the highest level was over.
But the 29-year-old has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to come to the net and compete aggressively, backed up by an better serve.
Medvedev fought back from a deficit in the first set against the difficult Frenchman, winning 4 of the last five games to go ahead.
Both players traded break points in the second set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden professional title, gained dominance to create a third set.
The opponent rescued four early-game opportunities in a close deciding set before Medvedev broke to that score to secure the win.
Appropriately, he earned the title with a point at the net, with his opponent incapable to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
